Canon 40D + stuff.

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 29, 2008, 4:49 PM
  • Reading: Camera reviews
  • Drinking: Pepsi light.... blah.
I've once again decided I'm going to finally buy a DSLR. I've been working at a Warmblood stud where they have a Canon 20D for sales shots, and I've been having a ball using it and desparately want one of my own.

So, I'm currently looking at the Canon 40D, and I just wanted some opinions.

Anyone had any experience with the 40D? Or any other cameras that deserve recommendation?

(I just realised I have enough savings for a 5D.. holy. But I'm not going to blow it all on just a body XD)

Anyway. My lovely new horse, Dexter, arrived 2 weeks ago, and he's doing great. He's still coming to terms with the fact that he is no longer a racehorse, but we'll get through that eventually, haha.
And the 28th of April marked a year since I've been together with Michael.. it's been a great year =]
I'm currently looking at renting the manager's cottage at the stud I'm working for, which would make life much easier, being there 24/7 to help look after Dex and the 32 other horses on the property, plus it would be a bit of a dream come true.
How many other 19 year olds can say they've got 30 acres in Burradoo? Hahaha.. =D

I'll try!
I'm currently going to every game on my days off from work, but that's sadly very few days haha..
Depending on my roster I'll certainly be there!

That weekend sounds pretty intense! Fun overload for Schteeeeve!
~greykonos:icongreykonos: Apr 21, 2008, 5:56:21 PM
COBIE!
You should go to round 15 vs the Dragons.
Because I'm gonna be in Sydney! And I think I just might go!

Work is paying for me to go down and go to a workshop. It's on saturday. Panthers play friday night, and I'd fly down on friday morning.
Titans play monday night down there too. AND supanova is on that weekend!
~greykonos:icongreykonos: Apr 18, 2008, 6:29:49 PM
Poo to you. :(
My attendance does no good for the Panthers. They've lost most I've been to. Exceptions are any games we won in Brisbane (how fucking kick ass was it coming back from a couple tries down with 5 to go. Jennings scored right infront of us. Then we went off to an awesome RBF concert! \o/) and the home semi against the dragons a couple years back. On my freaking birthday! YEAH!

On the flipside. Titans have won every game I've attended, both here and in Sydney!
~cobestar:iconcobestar: Apr 15, 2008, 11:02:55 PM
Horrendous!
I was there, so I guess my theory about my attendace causing them to win is no longer valid, haha.

Not good =[

YOU CALL THAT COACHING?
~greykonos:icongreykonos: Apr 9, 2008, 4:06:57 PM
Nice!
Standing in the rain is all part of the experience!
I remember last round last year, home game vs the rorters at carrara, we rocked up and it's pissing down rain. And it actually sold out too! They were turning people away at the gates. Only the grandstands have cover, most areas don't. I wore a poncho, but it didn't do a whole lot of good. Good times!
Most of Robina is covered, but the front few rows aren't, and that's where we sit. :D
~cobestar:iconcobestar: Apr 8, 2008, 5:05:24 PM
blah, *watching the game, not same haha.
~cobestar:iconcobestar: Apr 8, 2008, 5:02:58 PM
Ah that's no fun at all! The rain was torrential, and there's about 3 square metres of undercover space at Campbelltown stadium, with 12000 bogan tigers fans all trying to cram into it at once, haha.
We ended up deciding we couldn't possibly get any wetter than we already were, so we just stood out in the rain watching the same, probably had the best view in the place.
It was very nice to have a win like that at our first game that I got to go see this year! =D
~greykonos:icongreykonos: Apr 8, 2008, 6:55:55 AM
Oh man! So jealous!
I was on a train back to Brisbane from the Gold Coast, getting sms updates, having to restart my phone constantly cos it's screwing up.

I almost wish it pissed down when I went to a game at Campbelltown. Woulda washed the beer off. Damn bad losers out there. :D
~cobestar:iconcobestar: Apr 7, 2008, 5:36:54 PM
I was there! I was there!
