We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. i don't really like the stockings either, especially as i kind of tore them beforehand, hence the lines across her ankle. but without them, her leg was far too overexposed, and really paled into the background. so i kind of got stuck with them as a compromise.

it's such fun working with classic images like this. it's like.. stealing.. but not. haha. i don't know how to explain it.. but it's so much fun being able to put your own spin on such a gorgeous old photo.
I remember that feeling when i was studying Franz Marc for my college work. So great to have the idea already there and then to do your best job to copy it. I miss those days
